This study investigated generic skills and employability of [technical and vocational education and training] TVET graduate and the role of teachers regarding those skills in Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was used in this study. Three research questions and one null hypothesis guided the study. A total of 204 TVET teachers drawn from a population of 435 teachers were randomly selected to form the sample of the study. A researcher developed questionnaire tagged 'Generic Skills and Employability of TVE graduates' (GSETVEG) was used for data collection. The instrument was face and content validated, and the reliability coefficient was established at 0.72 using the Cronbach's Alpha technique. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while t-test statistics was used to analyze data from the null hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed among others that a positive relationship exists between generic skills and employability but numerous challenges are hindering such relationship. The study recommended among others, that teachers should emphasize the importance of generic skills to students.
